Haymarket Train Station

 

Haymarket train station in Edinburgh is ideally located at the west end of the city centre. This is approximately 1.5 miles from Waverley train station. This a great small station that was recently refurbished in 2014. 

Haymarket  is a great stop for anyone wanting to reach the West end of Princess Street, Murrayfield stadium for watching Rugby or concerts or Tynecastle Stadium to watch Heart of Midlothian football team . All trains from the West must go through Haymarket to get to Waverley Station. 

What Facilities does Haymarket station have?

The station has a Marks & Spencer shop where people can buy food & drink and a small range of groceries. There is also a small Kiosk that sells Hot drinks and a ticket office.

 

 

 

How to get to Haymarket Station?

The easiest way to get to Haymarket station is by Train. By foot this takes around 20-30 mins walk from Waverley Station along Princess Street and then Shandwick place. If walking from Murrayfield direction then its a straight road from Roseburn and takes around 10 minutes. From Tynecastle Park its a straight road A71/A70 and takes approximately 15 to 20 mins.
