Ā£11.00Beltane Fire Festival
The Beltane Fire festival is an event that is held annually onĀ Calton hill. This is located at the East end of Princess Street in Edinburgh. It is based onĀ an ancient Celtic ritual to celebrate the beginning of summer.
How to get there
Luckily Calton Hill is very central to Edinburgh. This is a short walk from the east end of Princess street. There are some steep steps for the quickest route and also an access road that can be walked.
The best method of transport is either a bus (there are many going to Princess street), the Tram (get off at St. Andrews Square) or the Train to Waverley Station. If going by car there is limited parking in the city centre however the city council stops charging for the pay and display meters after 6.30pm. There is also a NCP car park at the Omni centre.
More Information can be found on the Beltane festival website.
Whilst in the area it is also worth viewing other attractions such as the Edinburgh castle, The Edinburgh Dungeon or the Royal Mile.
