How to get to Tobermory?
As Tobermory is on the Isle of Mull the only way to get there is by boat. Most people would drive to the town of Oban and take the Caledonian McBrayne ferry to Craignure. Oban is around a 3 hour drive from Edinburgh or Glasgow. The journey is very scenic and mostly on twisty 2 lane roads (one lane each way). There is a bus and train journey via Glasgow. The ferry trip takes 45 minutes to Craignure, Mull. Once in Mull it is a 20 mile bus or car journey from Craignure to Tobermory.
Tip: If visiting via Yacht there is a small section of visitor moorings and pontoon berths with showers available. The harbour bay makes for a very good anchorage (dependant on wind direction).
