The Balmoral Hotel

The Balmoral Hotel is a 5 Star hotel located in the centre of Edinburgh. Originally the hotel was built by the railway and is therefore situated above Waverley Train Station.

Above the hotel is the iconic clock tower.

The Hotel has a Michellin Star restaurant called Number One.

Afternoon Tea is available in the Palm Bar.

The Scotch Whisky bar in the hotel has over 500 varieties.

The Balmoral hotel is where JK Rowling famously finished writing the Harry Potter series. In order to finish the book she moved into the hotel for several months to finish Harry Potter and the deathly Hallows. The suite has now been named the JK Rowling Suite and is located on the 5th floor (room number 552).
