Blackford Highland Games

Blackford Highland games celebrates its 154th year anniversary since the games started in 1870. This year it will be held on Saturday the 25th May 2024. The event is held in the village of Blackford near Auchterarder.blackford Highland Games

What to expect

The event has a full list of events including tossing the caber, put shot,  tug o’ war, throwing the hammer, heavy weight events and Highland dance.

  • 10.00 am Games Open
  • Piping Championships
  • Highland dancing championships, including The West of Scotland Highland Dance Championships
  • Heavy Competition including tossing the caber
  • Come & try events including golf, tennis and cricket
  • Pipe band march & Chieftain Parade
  • Plus a range of other fun activities and events.
  • A range of craft stalls
  • 6.00 pm Event closes
