Gordon Castle Highland games is held on Sunday the 18th May 2025. Along with the Highland Games there is also a country fair. The event is in held in the grounds of Gordon Castle. The location, Gordon Castle estate is near the village of Fochabers in Moray.
What to expect
The event has three main arena’s. These are the Highland games arena, the music marquee and the country sport arena.

How to get there
If travelling by car Fochaber village is located on the A96 road. From the west this is 47 miles from Inverness and takes just over an hour by car. Travelling from the East it is 56 miles from Aberdeen and from the south take the A95 from Aviemore. We would recommend travelling by car however to get there by train you would need to travel from Inverness or Aberdeen to Elgin and then take a bus or taxi. Tickets
Any tickets bought before the 1st May benefit from a 10% early bird offer. Tickets can be bought online via their website or purchased on the day. Ticket prices are:

- Child (7-17) £9
- Family £54 (2 adults and 3 children)
- Student £13.50
Other facilities
If visiting out with the games the Castle also has a walled garden with a children’s playground and a café worth visiting. The café serves hot drinks, food and afternoon tea. The estate also manages eight miles of double bank fly fishing on the River Spey. Enjoy salmon or trout fly fishing by purchasing a permit. The castle also caters for weddings across various venues. The castle hosts intimate weddings up to 40 guests, their orangery hosts larger parties and in 2020 saw the opening of the Tower venue. Where to stay
Gordon Castle is available to hire throughout the year on an exclusive basis. The Castle boasts eight en-suite King-size rooms, a drawing room, study and billiard room. Catering for up to 18 guests.There are also 5 Holiday cottages that are available to rent. These can accommodate between 2 and 8 guests.
